AP Lens Tech
How does AP Lens integrate firewall technology?
“AP Lens uses DNS filtering and cloud-based browsers technology together to protect users without affecting their internet browsing experience”
How it works: (add first two sections from "features" page)
When hitting a site request, AP Lens see three scenarios:
Whitelisted websites: these websites have been previously marked as safe: the user can browse them as usual
Known malicious websites: traffic is denied
Unknown websites: the user will be sent to AP Lens – Remote Browser; the browser is run on a virtual machine and any malicious activity will therefore not affect the end user; however, from their point of view, the experience is undistinguishable from that of their usual internet browsing. We call this augmented whitelisting.
